My relationship with Detach! began in 2023, when I spoke at the event. The following year, I attended as a participant in Maceió.
In 2025, I joined as a host for the year-round live sessions and the main event in Niterói, invited by Glauber Laender, the event’s creator and founder. In 2026, I stepped into the Team Lead role.
Today, I oversee partnerships and sponsorships, coordinate activities and volunteers on event day, manage the backlog, and communicate with speakers. I also support the hosts of the edition taking place in Fortaleza this year.
Detach! is meaningful to me because it connects the strength of the community with what I value most in design: scalability and a solid structure that lets teams work without friction and focus on what matters.

I am an ambassador of Festival Akilomba 2026, the largest gathering of design, marketing, tech and business led by Black people, Indigenous people and other underrepresented groups in Brazil, taking place in October at ESPM São Paulo. I also serve as a mentor within the Akilomba community itself.
Senac CRIA Award 2026

I was invited by Senac São Paulo to join the jury of the Interaction Design category at the 3rd edition of the CRIA Award. After almost 20 years in design, it is a way of giving back to the community everything the profession has given me, supporting and giving visibility to those who are just starting out.

Mentoring
This interest in people and leadership shows up on several fronts: I have mentored for Akilomba, served on the jury of the Senac CRIA Award and advised UX and Product Design classes at Tera. I have also supported promotions, hires and challenging moments in the careers of designers on teams I led.
Diversity and inclusion
I am part of PretUX and Akilomba, communities that foster the careers of Black people in Design. I was also part of the leadership of the Black employees affinity group at Cora. For me, community, representation and people development always go together.
